Premier Metal Group made their grand opening in Rochester a true community celebration by donating $10,000 to five deserving local organizations at their new facility’s Earth Day festival on April 19th. Over 250 guests from the Rochester area joined Premier Metal to explore the repurposed, state-of-the-art recycling center and enjoy a free lunch while supporting great causes.

The $10,000 donation was split between the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester, Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Rochester Fire Department, and the Rochester Trade and Mechanical Association Scholarship Fund. Representatives from each organization received a commemorative check during the event in recognition of their vital community contributions.

“Giving back to the organizations that strengthen Rochester is just as important to us as promoting sustainability through recycling,” said General Manager Brad Cook. “We wanted our grand opening to be a true celebration of our company’s values – environmental stewardship and supporting the community that supports us.”

The new recycling facility on Cairn Street was revitalized from an abandoned eyesore through Premier Metal’s multi-million dollar investment. It will provide a clean, safe location for residents and businesses to drop off scrap metal for top compensation while diverting waste from landfills.

The event featured a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the operation, food trucks, and activities for the whole family alongside the $10,000 donation presentation. Attendees got a first-hand look at Premier Metal’s innovative recycling processes and commitment to corporate responsibility.

“This celebration perfectly encapsulated what Premier Metal stands for,” said Rob Piscatelli, Vice President of parent company Niagara Metals. “We’re thrilled to expand our footprint in a way that visibly improves Rochester through sustainable practices and support for vital community organizations.”

The grand opening marked an exciting new chapter of growth for Premier Metal. The company hopes their investment and charitable efforts in Rochester will cement their reputation as an industry leader in environmental protection and community engagement.
